Problem:
Rust staining, cracking and localised concrete spalling had developed along the slab edges and soffits of 16 apartment balconies. Ongoing moisture ingress had contributed to reinforcement corrosion, causing sections of the surrounding concrete to delaminate, loosen and break away.

Scope Of Work:
Loose and delaminated concrete was removed across 16 balconies before the exposed reinforcement was mechanically cleaned and treated. The slab edges and soffits were then reinstated using compatible concrete repair mortars, with crack and waterproofing-interface repairs completed where required.

Outcome:
The affected reinforcement was treated, and the damaged slab edges and soffits were reinstated across all 16 balconies, reducing the risk of further deterioration and loose concrete. Works were completed in stages to minimise disruption to residents.
