Strata External Staircase, Landing & Elevated Walkway Remediation
Stairs, landings, walkways & soffits remediation delivered at Lane Cove, NSW.
Project Overview
This Lane Cove, NSW project involved stairs, landings, walkways & soffits. Works were delivered under pedestrian-managed staging conditions, with the repair programme focused on safe access, reinforcement treatment and durable concrete reinstatement.
THE PROBLEM
Cracking, rust staining and spalling affected external stair flights, landing edges, walkway soffits and exposed reinforced-concrete edges.
THE REPAIR
Loose concrete was removed, reinforcement cleaned and treated, and damaged stair, landing and walkway profiles reconstructed with repair mortar.
THE OUTCOME
Deteriorated pedestrian structures were reinstated while controlled access remained available through unaffected areas.
SITE CONDITIONS
Occupied-property access, overhead repair zones and pedestrian management required progressive staging throughout the works.

A Controlled Remedial Process
Each project follows the actual repair requirements, access constraints and site conditions.
Inspection & Defect Mapping
Affected areas were inspected, mapped and confirmed so the repair extent could be planned before breakout.
Controlled Concrete Breakout
Unsound and delaminated concrete was removed back to a sound substrate while surrounding areas were protected.
Reinforcement Treatment
Exposed reinforcement was cleaned, assessed and treated, with replacement or augmentation completed where required.
Structural Reinstatement
Compatible structural repair mortar was placed and finished to reinstate the original concrete profile.
Protective Interfaces
Repair edges, interfaces and exposed surfaces were detailed to suit the surrounding structure and site conditions.
Final Inspection
Completed repair areas were checked for finish, continuity and compliance before the work zone was handed back.
